How it works
Older POS software in Pakistan was installed on one counter computer, with data on its hard drive. If the computer failed or was stolen, the records went with it, and the owner could only see sales by sitting at that computer. A cloud POS keeps the data on servers and makes regular backups, so the owner can check sales from home, add a branch without new servers, and replace a broken counter computer by logging in on another one.
The concern most shops raise is the internet. A good cloud POS keeps billing when the connection drops and sends the bills when it returns. Ask any vendor what happens offline and who owns the data.
