Example
At 11 pm a restaurant prints the Z-report: 212 bills, cash 96,400 rupees, card 31,000, JazzCash 12,500, two voids and one refund. The manager signs it and staples the counted cash slip to it.
How it works
The name comes from old cash registers, where an X-report was a mid-day reading and the Z-report reset the totals to zero. Today it is the closing document for a shift: what was sold, how it was paid, what was refunded or voided, and how much cash should be in the drawer.
Owners use it to compare days, catch unusual voids and check that cash taken home matches the bills. In a shop with several counters, each till gets its own Z-report, which makes it easy to see which counter was short.

Closing a shift on the Cash register page asks for the cash count, shows expected cash and the difference, then opens the Z-report for that shift. The Day book shows the whole business day across counters, with cash, sales and each staff member's bills.
